Questionable boot seal

This style of sway bar link has a rubber boot that just lays over the ball & socket. with little effort I can lift up the boot and flip it over the nut. This style is not sealed like the original factory part. My concern is that water and grim can get under the boot and it can wear out prematurely. Only time will tell if it lasts.
