2003 Avalon passenger side rearview mirror

Mechanically, it fit well. Electrically, not so much. The plug didn't fit. My car had all the bells and whistles. So, I cut off the old plug leaving about 6 inches of wires. The new plug had 3 wires, white, red and yellow. The old one had about 8 wires but I noticed that it also had white, red and yellow wires. And those were in the same position, plug wise, as the replacement wires. I spliced the W, R & Y to the old plug,wrapped shut the unused wires and put the door back together. Hey, hey, the mirror still moved right and left, up and down according to the controls. OK, it didn't heat or light up but I never used those options anyway, $36 instead of a couple hundred makes me happy.
