They work better than the old worn out ones, but do make a bit of noise, although that could be something else with the suspension.

AM-1185822659-2002-03 Mazda Protege5 Strut & Spring Assembly Pai
Purchased the rear strut assembly for my daughter's 2002 Mazda Protege5 and first off, they arrived sooner than the expected delivery date and shipping all the way across the pond to Hawaii. I had my mechanic friend install the pair and he said the installation was a breeze. The ride on the car from the rear end perspective is terrific.

I was hesitant purchasing all 4 struts for the car all at the same time. I wanted to check out the purchase with the rear struts replacement first. Now, I will order the struts for the front replacement/installation.

So far so good. I'm happy with the purchase.
