Was not compatible with existing window regulator motor
3 Stars because it is was not compatible with the existing regulator motor on my 2004 Mercury Mountaineer. Do not buy this regulator without a motor unless you have verified that your existing regulator motor cog will mate up to the new regulator cog. It did not fit on my 2004 Mercury Mountaineer. I swapped out the cog from the broken regulator to try and use my existing motor since I needed the window fixed as soon as possible. Everything seemed to work fine with no window load but the cables came apart once the cables were under load lifting the window. Hindsight is 20/20 so maybe this will help someone else to not make the same mistake of trying to save $10+/- over the regulator that comes with a motor and then trying to use parts from the existing regulator to make the new regulator work. Just buy the regulator with the motor unless you have verified that the cog from your existing motor will fit.
