Wired wrong
Well I got the part everything seemed solid. So I went to install it ; since the system is secured with rivets I had to drill them out. Finished with the drilling and poped in the new rivets when everything was said and done. I found out that the window regulator was wired backwards so the up position goes down and the down position goes up. Now I have the dilema of drilling the new rivets out or gettin use to the window going the opposite way from the passenger window.

2002 ford Ranger window motor assembly
AM Autoparts window motor is a very good price and now that its been in the door for a week or so and works well looks like a good buy . You should know that you will need bolts and nuts to fix the new assembly into the door as they are not provided after you need to drill out the rivots that attached the stock unit into thee door . Also if you have the plan to attach the replacement motor to the stock window assembly it will not fit as the bolt pattern is NOT the same so you have to use the entire new assembly . You will find 1 of the 4 attachment bolts to be very difficult to insert in its hole and this is no fault of the assembly but the design of Ford , i am sure this would much easier if you use rivots as Ford did to mount the assembly .
