Ford 4.0 Thermostat Housing
My thermostat housing was leaking. It warped after 210K miles. This housing was a good choice for a bolt on replacement. It shipped quickly. I received the part on time. It was a good choice for a replacement.

It's going to be a leaker
The upper part of the housing was bent right out of the box where everybody told me they would bend over time and leak. The thermostat was the wrong one so I had to change that.Over all if I had to do it all over again I would buy the metal one and I would buy it local.

Good part, no complaints.
I am an auto repair shop owner and see many explorers and other vehicles with broken thermostat housings on 4.0 SOHC engines. I usually get the Dorman brand part from my local supplier but decided to start stocking them myself. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve installed the first AM housing and I haven’t heard any complaints from the customer. I carefully examined and compared the part to Dorman brand and couldn’t see any diffence.
