Fits perfectly. 83 vw gti 1.8l American version. I was skeptical at first but went nice and snug. Best price online fast shipping. One corner bent like an 1/8th of an inch in shipping but I was able to bend it back no problem. Overall very satisfied. The internal components are all the same minus the plastic and rubber parts inside, which I prefer because they just cause problems further down the line. Pick up tube runs to the middle of the tank like oem
