Good match for OEM, but need sto be sturdier
Having had good luck with AM in the past, I had high hopes for this product. It proved to be a good match for the OEM part in all respects, and installed easily. Unfortunately, it was also a match for the OEM part in being prone to a known issue with the part's design. The inside surface of part has a lever which converts the upward rotation of the handle to a downward motion of a rod which moves the door latch. When this rod moves easily, all is well. but when it does not, the lever is prone to bend towards the interior rather than rotate downwards. Once bent, the handle will no longer operate easily. The handle I got from AM operated three times and failed in this manner. Two changes might keep this from happening: thicker metal for the lever, and a larger and stiffer washer on its pivot pin to help keep the lever moving only in the desired plane. I've since bought a handle from another vendor and will try that this weekend.
