Replacement part working fine and a snap to install
Toyota dropped the ball in their design of two simple welds for their door problem. I used this part and designed two double 90' clips to utilize this parts two bolts and used two sheet metal screws to attach the other end to the door body. Toyota and body shop wanted over $800 to fix door clicking problem. With this part and some sheet metal clips I fixed my 2005 drivers side door for under $50, so how about that Toyota! Clips are easy to make, you need a vise and a drill, after you take off the door panel and remove the door check,the rest of the job takes about 1 hr,good luck and you will save a bundle in dollars! Worked Great
Fast service. The original door check was worn out. This one looked a bit different but matched up OK and worked fine. The door needed a pop rivet to secure the mounting plate to finish the job but everything is smooth now!
