Overall, this is a pretty good kit. I really appreciate that it comes with all of the necessary switches and wiring to get this working on lower trim level F-150s. I installed them on my 2018 XL (STX) that has the 8-pin power mirror connector. These took a LONG time to install and I ran into some issues. If you search around (youtube, other parts dealers), you can find a detailed install video for these. The biggest challenge is working in tight areas to add the wiring to the factory harnesses.

On my 2018 there were two major deviations from the instructional video. First, there is no purple wire in the passenger door sill harness to connect the puddle lights to. The correct wire on the 2018 is white with a green stripe. I had to pay $22 to look up the wiring diagram on the Ford Service site. Second, late-2018 trucks have an ambient air temperature sensor on the bottom of the passenger mirror (you can see it from the outside of the housing if you want to check yours). There is no provision to replace this sensor into the new mirrors. Luckily, my truck still has the wiring for the sensor at the old location (near the hood release latch) and I was able to splice the old sensor in there and zip-tie it near the front grill. The connector only had two wires, green/blue and yellow/violet. This isn't ideal, as I prefer the mirror location, but it works. Also, be aware that you will have a check engine light and possible HVAC issues if you don't get the sensor hooked back up.

Between the ambient air temp sensor and disconnecting all of the harnesses, I had several DTCs that I needed to clear after installing these mirrors.

arrived earlier than forecast. I live in Canada. looked like it was packed well but there were numerous holes in the inner boxes caused from the mounting bolts. The power fold switch is very chincy/cheap. the cover had broken in transit, AM Auto staff had one on the way to me in about 3 hours after i sent them the pictures. Looking for a more substantial switch or another place to mount it in an inconspicuous place- possibly on the door panel forward of the window/mirror switch.. . Instructions are very clear and the video is excellent. Obviously haven't even started to install them. they look real sweet and Heavy.

I was desperately looking for folding tow mirrors for my 2016 Ford f-150. Ford company offered no solution. I ordered these mirrors and was totally blown away by the quality, and exact fit for my truck. There was an online u-tube video which was the most detailed video for installation that I had ever used. Installation was over several hours but well worth the result. You will be pleased with the look and the operation of these mirrors. Don't look for a cheaper price, AM Auto Parts was the cheapest by over $100.00.

Fantastic product. I am by no means a mechanic and had both mirrors installed in 40 min. Pulled inside plastic trim, unplugged wiring harness and removed four 10mm fasteners. Give old mirror a good downward tap and remove. place new mirror in position and press in. A top clip hold the mirror in place. Re-install the four fastners, plug the wire harness in and install trim piece (snap fit). Flawless function. Highly recommend.
