Most Harmonic balancers are pressed on to the end of the engine crankshaft.
This is the correct removal tool for pressed on harmonic balancers.
Severe engine damage can be the result of "alternative" methods of removal.
This Puller does have a long Press Bolt. If you are removing the Harmonic Balancer without removing the engine it may not clear in some applications. A different length hardened bolt of the same diameter and thread count can be substituted if necessary.
